GCU Intermediate Admission on Sports and Co-curricular Basis

 Sports & Co-Curricular Activities

 The candidates seeking admission on Sports/ Co-curricular Activities/Special Categories basis shall submit a Sports Form/Co-curricular Activities Form/ Special Categories Form. The list of candidates eligible for interviews will be displayed on the GCU website.

Admission Based on Co-Curricular Activities 

Admission to FA/FSc/ICom may be granted based on excellence in the following activities:

 i. Music

 ii. Drama 

iii. Urdu Debate

 iv. English Debate 

v. Punjabi Debate

 vi. Qirat/Naat 

vii. Rovers (Scouts)

If a student wants to get admission to the university based on their sports, co-curricular activities, or special category, they need to follow certain rules.

First, they need to submit their certificates or proof of their achievements in sports, co-curricular activities, or special categories. But they have to make sure to submit these certificates before the last date for submitting the admission form. After that date, no certificates will be accepted.

Then, they have to participate in trials or tests related to their specific sports or co-curricular activities. These trials or tests are like tryouts where they have to show their skills or abilities.

To apply for admission based on sports or co-curricular activities, they also need to submit an affidavit. An affidavit is a written statement that they promise to participate in sports events or co-curricular activities on behalf of the university. It means they will represent the university in these activities.

They also have to practice regularly at the university. This means they have to attend training sessions or practices to improve their skills. If they don't practice regularly, their admission might be canceled.


Admissions on Sports Basis

 Sportsmen are admitted to GCU based on performance in sports. The sportsmen of individual games can be considered for science subjects The sportsmen of team games shall only be considered for General Science, Arts, and Commerce Group The detail of individual and team games is as follows

If a student wants to get admission to the university based on their sports achievements, they need to follow certain rules.

First, they cannot represent or play for any government, semi-government, or private institution or club, like WAPDA, Pakistan Railways, or the Police. They can only participate at the district, provincial, or national level with permission from the Director of Sports.

They need to submit an affidavit, which is a written promise, stating that they will not play for these institutions or clubs. If they violate this rule, they will be expelled from the university.

If a student is waiting for their O'Level, Equivalent, or SSC results, they can be provisionally admitted based on their sports achievements. However, they need to appear for sports trials, and their admission will be confirmed once they submit the required results and an equivalent certificate issued by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).

The students need to attend the trials as per the schedule given by the sports office. The candidates recommended by the Sports Board will be called for an interview. The selection made by the Sports Board or Committee cannot be challenged in court. If a student is absent or fails in trials or interviews, they cannot claim admission.
