Change of Subject

Following are the guidelines related to the change of subject

During your college admission, you have to choose a group of subjects that you want to study. Once you choose these subjects, you can only change them during a specific period set by the university. The university will let you know when this period is. After that time, you won't be able to change your subjects.

  • The university provides different sets or groups of subjects for you to choose from. You have to pick your subjects from these sets. If you choose subjects that are not in the provided sets, you will have to change them to match the sets that the university has given.
  • If you want to study Fine Arts, you will need to pass a special test at the beginning of the school year to show your skills. If you don't pass the test, you will have to choose a different subject. To choose your subjects, you will need to fill out a form and submit it along with your admission form.
  • In Pakistan, all students, whether they come from English medium or Urdu medium schools, will study the same syllabus for compulsory Urdu. That means everyone will learn and study the same things in Urdu.
  • If a student wants to take an English paper in the board examination, they must attempt all the papers in English, including Islamiat and Pakistan Studies. So, if you choose to take the exam in English, you have to answer all the questions in English, even for subjects like Islamiat and Pakistan Studies.
  • Switching from one group of subjects to another group is allowed, but it depends on your performance and the availability of seats in the group you want to switch to. So, if you want to change your subjects to a different group, you have to do well and there must be space available in that group.
